Make a Planet and Star Backdrop with LED Strip Lights by admin
If you are looking for a cool design idea for your kids’ rooms, why not make an illuminated planet-and-star backdrop for them? This is surprisingly very easy with LED strip lights. Basically, you need to make a frame with a front and back mount. Behind the frame, you will put various colours of LED strip lights. On the top of the frame, you will stretch a piece of black fabric. The fabric will have holes cut out of it to represent the planets and stars.

The only somewhat complicated part of this LED strip lights project is making the frame. If you have some basic tools, then you can use a piece of lightweight wood as the back mount. Then, nail a length of wood to each side of the backboard. This will make a frame. Mount the LED strip lights onto the backboard. Then, starting at one side, use tacks to attach the black fabric to the frame. You can cut the holes out for the stars and planets after you have the fabric attached but it generally works better if you do it at the start of the LED strip lights project.
